Economic Development

THOMASVILLE, AL

Southwest Alabama's Success Story

Thomasville has proven to be an excellent location for industries with easy access to multiple forms of transportation. With the Port of Mobile located only 90 miles from Thomasville and Norfolk Southern Railroad access that extends from Mobile to our community and beyond, our industries are capable of International Trade as well.

Not only are industries able to transport goods by water and rail, we also have US Highway 43 which is a four-lane highway running through Thomasville from I-65 in Mobile County to I-59 providing links to two more interstates, I-10 and I-20.

Thomasville has developed four industrial parks and built our second Speculative Building, a 50,000 sq ft. building expandable to 200,000 sq ft in our South Industrial Park. Our community is  a Favored Geographic Area offering a program of lower investment and job creation thresholds to take advantage of Alabama's Capital Tax Credits.

Economic Development does not just happen. We put our heart and soul into what we do and many are finding that it is "COOL TO BE RURAL!"

When expanding your company, why choose to be just another business in a larger city when you can stand out as being an integral part of the community in rural Southwest Alabama, better yet, Thomasville?!

We are 100 miles from anywhere to anywhere!
